Students will gain knowledge in creating their own work, including written and oral presentations of partial outcomes of their effort.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will acquire experience while implementing their own diploma thesis, including schedule of processing, defining priority problems of solution, setting goals and methods of solution, and defending of proposed solution of a technical problem.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching is carried out through seminars that particularly support practical mastery of subject matter presented in lectures or assigned for individual study with the active participation of students.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Based on the recommendation of the diploma thesis supervisor; presentation of the theoretical part of the thesis is a part of the credit.

2. Methodology of the thesis elaboration. Guidelines for individual project throughout the semester
3. Literature search. Information sources, the structure of literature search and formal requirements

To start dealing with thesis; succession planning, designing solution, phasing of progress, creating a literature review - an introduction to the methodology and principles of professional work, analysing and presenting achievement of partial results, setting conditions for the successful completion of the thesis
