Lossless and lossy compression of multimedia signals (masking, wavelet and fractal compression, 3D DCT). Multimedia indexing and retrieval in multimedia databases (Fourier Descriptors, MPEG 7). Digital watermarks and their applications. Advanced methods of 3D visualization, multimedia system control over Internet, remote acquisition of multimedia data.
