PCs in Intrumentation

The course deals with programming of measurement systems and equipment with focus on virtual instrumentation. Students will recognize the different means used by software producers with emphasis on the software from National Instruments (LabVIEW). At the user level, they learn to use hardware devices for measurement. Attention is also paid to non-PC systems and systems based on real-time OS.

Course curriculum
Basic principles of communication almost. devices with a PC (DAQ device, RS ..., GPIB, VXI), libraries VISA, GPIB and RS232)
2.Practical examples and work with VEE software (Agilent), LabWindows / CVI (National Instruments)
3.Laboratory - an independent task in CVI and VEE
4. LabVIEW (Basic environment, programming, practical examples)

7. LabVIEW-RT, FPGA module, the remote application
