The project proves the bachelor’s ability to work out quality contract drawings needed for the execution of a building, from the point of view of both transferring an architectonic concept into the project implementation and understanding the needs of participating professions, including the ability to solve correct technical and architectonic details.

In the Bachelor project all the relevant knowledge and skills acquired by a student in the course of the whole previous study of the architectonic and engineering disciplines are applied. The content of the subject represents a synthesis of the majority of the previously studied subjects involved in the study programme.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of Brno University of Technology Rules for Studies and Examinations. In this case it deals with design project.

Condition for acceptance of the project is submission of three parts of work:
- architectural scheme
- technical drawings 1:100 and 1:50
- architectural detail including model 1:1

During the whole semester, student works out an building project based on the architectonic study that was made by himself/herself in some of the preceding semesters within the Studio Design. The profundity and the range of the worked out project result from the general requirements of a contract project for the building permit. The project also involves a design of a chosen part of the field of civil engineering disciplines, building services, inner environment and physical properties of the designed solution of a structure, including the worked-up technical and architectonic details of a particular building structure.
After being completed, the final design is assessed by an external examiner. At the end of a semester a student defends his/her project before the board of examiners. The defence of a project is a part of the State Bachelor’s Degree Examination.
