Students will extend their language skills and vocabulary and grammar knowledge. Students will be able to speak about the following topics: choice of career, travelling, health and illnesses, at a hotel, the Internet. They will practise the following grammar at the upper-intermediate level: summary of verbs´ conjugation, verbs of movement, inflection of numerals, irregular verbs, conditionals.
The target level of Russian is B1+ (according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.
Grammar and vocabulary is practised in an interactive way, with emphasis on conversation. Development of communication and listening skills using interactive audio-visual technologies.

In order to receive their credits, students need to attend classes regularly (max. 3 absences per semester), do homework and actively participate in the lessons.

The aim of the subject is to achieve an advanced level of Russian both in vocabulary and grammar. Then also the student´s ability to read, translate and make demanding Russian texts.
