Introduction to 3D software for low and high polygone modelling, licensed software vs. freeware, 3D conversion tools, import and export between software. Available tools for the making of 3D interactive visualization.

Students will have a basic orientaion in the 3D software and will be able to choose the best one for the implementaion of their pwn project.

1. Various types of modelling programs, 3d – DeepExploration
2. High polygon modeling, voxel modeling, Z Brush, 3d Coat, Modo 3d, Clay tools, Freeform, Terragen
3) Low polygon modelling – Maya 3d , Softimage XSI , Blender, Cinema 4d, 3dS Max, Strata 3d, Houdini
4. NURBS geometric modelling, Rhinoceros , PowerNurbs
5. Technical modelling, AutoCAD, SolidWorks
6. 3D visualizations Unity 3d, CryEngine, Unreal Engine 3, Blender
7. Texturing, procedural and raster textures (Softimage XSI, BodyPaintu 3D , Z Brush, Photoshop)
8. Animation (Nuke, Softimage XSI, Cinema 4d, Poser 3d)

Students will learn about the various types of 3D software and the general issues of 3D modelling.
