Computer technologies in spatial art (tools and procedurs in virtual space - summer)

The course is a follow-up to the winter semester course. Development of the knowledge of 3D software for low and high polygone modelling, licensed software vs. freeware, 3D conversion tools, import and export between software. Available tools for the making of 3D interactive visualization.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will have a basic orientaion in the 3D software and will be able to choose the best one for the implementaion of their pwn project.

Prerequisites

3D software skills is not a prerequisite. Basic PC skills are essential.

Course curriculum

1. Polygon modelling, texturing, animation (Softimage + Photoshop)
2. Modelling and texturing in Z Brush (Z Brush + Photoshop)
3. Import into Unity, creating the mise-en-scene, lighting, optimalization
4. Finalizing the preview or presenting and implementing it on a website (Unity 3D)

Students will learn about the various types of 3D software and the general issues of 3D modelling.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences
