Course detail
Listening and Interpreting Skills
FEKT-HLISAcad. year: 2012/2013
An active language course combining different approaches to support effective listening and verbal communication management. Based on an analysis of the students´needs, various functional techniques will be applied to model a large scale of everyday listening and speaking situations. This real-life element is further underlined by the prominence given to the subject of English accents and dialects. Importantly, the above-stated practical features are tightly connected with yet another vital aspect of the course, namely the development or enhancement of competence in diverse forms of interpreting and vocabulary practice. As an operational synthesis of all the facets, the course should enable the students to improve or refresh their skills related to the main subjects given.
