Learning outcomes of the course unit

Consolidation and deepening of knowledge of grammatical sructures based on grammar exercises and text analyses.

Prerequisites

Secondary school knowledge of Common European Framework of Reference B1 level is required.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in Article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The assessment consists of a written final exam. 75% attendance and active participation in classes are required.

1 seminar: Introduction to the course, word formation and punctuation, tense review.
2 seminar: The Present.
3 seminar: The Past.
4 seminar: The Future.
5 seminar: The Present Perfect Simple and Continuous.
6 seminar: The Past Perfect Simple and Continuous.
7 seminar: Modals of Possibility + Past Modals.
8 seminar: Passive.
9 seminar: Gerunds and Infinitives.
10 seminar: Relative Clauses.
11 seminar: Real Conditionals + Past Unreal Conditionals.
12 seminar: Noun Clauses.
13 seminar: Reported Speech.

Knowledge of English at the Common European Framework of Reference B2 level.
