Switching equipment - Subscriber unit
Switching equipment - Switching Network (SN), the structure of the switching network, Erlang equations. Design and optimization of switching network.
Queuing Theory, Kendall classification of QS (Queuing System).
PSTN signaling (POTS signaling, E&M, CAS, CAS R2, DSS1, Q- sig., SS7).
VoIP signaling, convergence of PSTN and IP networks. (SIP/SS7 gateway, SIP/DSS1 getaway, SIGTRAN, BICC)
Examples of switching systems used in National telecommunication network (Siemens EWSD, Alcatel 1000 S12).
Private Branch eXchanges (PBX).
