The course multimedia is a focused on detailed description of modern methods used in compression algorithms for image and video, security of multimedia content by means of watermarking techniques, principles of multimedia data transmission in IP networks, and finally the principles of indexing and retrieval in large multimedia databases according to the MPEG-7 standard.
