Safety and Risky Behavior

The course deals with the basic aspects of security as the underlying assumptions for the application of this knowledge in specific areas and situations. It deals with different types of emergencies and their management capabilities. As one of the major security threats on a global scale, is given to extremism, terrorism and organized crime. Attention is paid to the victims and preventive measures in the fight against organized crime, including legislation.

Students gain new knowledge and skills in the field of risk behavior in humans load situations, the potential for prevention and associated legislation.

Course curriculum

1. Safety terminology. Safety and security aspects of the individual and of society.
2. Emergencies, causes a breakdown. Related concepts, interpretation and content.
3. Conflicts, their dynamics and solutions. Conflicts and stage of development intensity conflicts in international relations and for emergencies. Mediation as a method of conflict resolution.
4. nternational humanitarian law and the Geneva Convention, participation in international relief work. Measures for crisis situations. Emergency Preparedness.
5. Basis for the creation and development of severe forms of violence threatening the safety and jednice whole. Risky behavior.
6. Politicky orientovaná hnutí, extremismus.
7. Terrorism and developmental stage of terrorism from the perspective of global historical development. Means and methods of terrorist financing.
8. New forms of terrorism and the emergence of the so-called. Regional initiatives in the fight against terrorism.
9.Theory and theoretical foundations of organized crime as a crime group.
10. Most widespread forms of organized crime in the Czech Republic.
11. Victims - damage. Victim's conduct in threatening situations. PTSD.
12. Measures and ways of prevention in the fight against organized crime and major international legal aspects in the fight against organized crime.
