Learning outcomes of the course unit
Students acquaint with rules and principles of Labour Code, with position of employer and worker, labour relations and legal regulation of employment contract. Then will be students able to establish and terminate employment contract and agreements about work out of the employment contract including addendums.
They will be oriented on the job market, gain information about of right to work and acquaint with legal regulation of active policy tools.
V the commercial part of this subject students gain knowledge about options and means of commercial activity and acquaint with public and private aspects of the commercial activity.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Course curriculum
1. Basic principles of Labour Code, definition of paid employment and labour relations.
2. Relation between labour and civil law, employer and worker, prohibited discrimination, establishment of labour relation, job contract.
3. Basic terms from commercial activity, types of business, establishment and termination of trading certificate.
4. Changes and termination of labour relation, rights from invalid termination of labour relation.
5. Agreements about work out of the employment contract, working time and time of rest.
6. Vacation and embarrassment in work, business trip.
7. Legal regulation of labour relations by commercial activity, tax liability.
8. Remuneration, salary, wage, average income.
9. Care of workers, safety work, extraordinary working conditions, workers with handicap, care about qualification and education of workers.
10. Criminal-law protection of commercial activity, free-lance occupation.
11. Compensation of damage, protection of workers personal rights, protection of financial interests of worker.
12. Labour unions, status, collective labour law, board of workers, agency employment, teleworking and homeworking.
13. Employment, unemployment benefit, active policy. Labour office, Trade office, prospectus - strategy and propaganda.
