Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will learn of the used aircraft technology in traffic activity and also in some special activities in the national economy. They will learn to understand the importance of international cooperation in the security of the air transport.

Prerequisites

Transport and communication systems, General economic theory.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Course-unit credit requirements: the attendance at exercises (80% at the minimum), reports elaboration in a prescribed form, working out of assignments.

Aims

Cílem předmětu PELD I je seznámit studenty se základními vztahy a úkoly jednotlivých dopravních oborů v národním hospodářství, významem letecké dopravy, Mezinárodní organizací civilního letectví (ICAO), Mezinárodním sdružením leteckých dopravců (IATA) a dalších vládních a nevládních a mezinárodních organizací, organizací a řízením civilního letectví ČR, technickou přípravou nového provozu, podmínkami v přepravní části, mezivládnímu a mezipodnikovému zabezpečení letecké dopravy v technické, obchodní i ekonomické části a využitím letadlové techniky při speciálních činnostech.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Exercises are compulsory, and the attendance (80% at the minimum) is recorded. The absence (in justifiable cases) can be compensated by personal consultation with the lecturer and elaboration of individually assigned topics and exercises. Individual tasks must be finished and handed in the credit week at the latest.
