Industrial, municipal and landscape water management

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will be made familiar with the theory, as well as with the latest knowledge in the field water manamegent.They will acquire the basic skills necessary treatment, protection and assessment water systems.Students will have an knowledge of familiar object.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of the course is conditional on the knowledge of phyzic, hydrobiology, chemistry and technology of drinking water.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

The course-unit credit is awarded on two written tasks.In the course-unit credit, which is written, the theoretical knowledge of the taught problems of the field water manamegent,water sources protection,environmental chemistry and is checked.

Course curriculum

1.Introduction to base of organization and legal water management.
2.Foundations of hydrology, hydropedology and pedology. Using of hydrology knowledge.Wetland.
3.Sources water for human and industry.Protection of water sources et al.
4.River way and water drive.Protections againts flad. Asanation of agricultural areas.
5.Lakes,damms,ponds, industrial reservoars and their using.
6.Direction of water regime landscape.Regime irrigation. Using wastwater, irrigation by wastewater and sevage.
7.Drinking water for human. Water in urban areas.
8.Productinons of wastewater.Base of balneology and balneotechnique. Water for pool and swimminig aktivities.
9.Using water in agricultural,biotechnology and foods technology.
10.Water management of especially industry areas, planning and research.

Aims

The objective of the course is to provide students with the necessary knowledge and information from the field of base of water management and used water in diferent branches of idustry and urban areas.
