Having completed the course, it is expected that the student will have acquired knowledge allowing him or her not only to pass the exam successfully, but also to have a good understanding of the problems in his or her prospective professional activity.

Knowledge of selected chapters from organic and physical chemistry.

1. Textile fibres
2. Pre-treatment of textiles
3. Dyeing by the drawing-out method and continuous dyeing methods
4. Applications of the individual classes of dyes
5. Smart fibres and clothing - medical, special membranes for sports, geoclothing
6. Chemistry and technology of sorbents

Aims

The objective of this course is that the students familiarise themselves with practical application of chemistry in the manufacturing of common and special textiles (new fibres, moisture managemen, aplication of special biopolymers)..
