§ Basic principles of designing. Limit states of failure and usability, dimensioning of reinforced concrete elements.
§ Reinforced concrete bar elements - supporting plates, ribs, lintels, beams, columns.
Reinforced concrete plane elements - bilaterally reinforced plates, walls.
§ Pre-stressed concrete, technology of its manufacture, its substance, kinds and use.
§ Assembled structures, types of elements, composition and details of joints.
§ Structural arrangement of supporting reinforced concrete structures of buildings, spatial composition of multi-storey constructions. Dilatation field and dilatation joints. Types of low- and high-rise buildings, halls and special buildings, their structural arrangement and problems of their spatial rigidity. Examples of implemented reinforced concrete structures.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Conditions of being granted credits - attendance at tutorials, working out and submission of semestral assignment in term, test
Form of examination - combined exam
System and rules of the subject's resulting classification - summary of point evaluation of work at tutorials (range of 20 - 40 points) and exam (range 30 - 60 points)

Course curriculum

Concrete mixture - components, production, compaction, attendance
Reinforcing wire steel - sorts, production, characteristics
Concrete - suit solidification and induration, characteristics
Drafting - MS I - traction, pressure
Drafting - MS I - bend, skid, twisting
Drafting - MS II - deformation, scratches
Drafting - concrete feint reinforced, prestrained
Elements stump (beam, girder, post)
Elements areal - portfolio jednosměrně and either way reinforced, walling, wall insulator girders
Frame construction, ceilings ribbed (trabeated)
Two - way systems, ceilings fire-grate carrier, cartridge
Rise ceilings, without-flat slab (without - warhead) ceilings
Blockhouse construction prefab
Bracing buildings, tie wall, reinforcing wire nuclei

Work placements

Not applicable.

Aims

Gaining basic knowledge of concrete and of designing concrete structures. Students are expected to be able to work out conceptual designs of buildings, considering the specific features of the material and structural system used.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Lectures are not obligatory, tutorials are obligatory - the attendence at tutorials and the progress of work on semestral assignment are regularly monitored.
