Original Abstract

When designing and manufacturing the lightweight thermal insulation plasters with very low density, we very often have to deal with the problem of optimizing the thermal insulation and mechanical properties. This contribution paper describes the results from the field of development of lightweight thermal insulation plasters with very low density on the basis of light porous aggregates and inorganic binder. As a binder, there was a mixture of lime mash or lime hydrate and Portland cement used in the first phase of the research. The contribution paper deals with the possibility of replacing the Portland cement by metacaoline which should, with the same dosing, significantly improve the ratio of thermal insulation and mechanical properties of hardened thermal insulating plaster.
