Original Abstract

The first of two numerical models of the temperature field of a concasting is capable of simulating the temperature field of a CCM. The model of dendritic segregation of elements suggest, that this process could be viewed in thi light of dynamic process analysis. The combination of both models enables the prediction of cracs and fissures in critical points of the continuously cast carbon-steel slab.
