Original Abstract

Flexible plastic heat exchangers (FPHEs) have several well-known advantages, e.g. their corrosion resistance, and also disadvantages, e.g. relative narrow temperature intervals of their applications. The low application temperatures make them useful for such tasks where biofouling is a key problem. Ad hoc approach towards de fouling is inevitable. It means that different methods must be used. The paper describes two of them, whipping and high tech surface modification using proteins layers.
