Original Abstract

The use of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power has been increasing, but their intermittent nature presents a challenge for energy storage systems. Stationary energy storage systems with Li-ion batteries is one of the proposed solution, but temperature can significantly affect their performance and lifespan. Therefore, it is necessary to understand the thermal behavior of Li-ion batteries in different situations. This paper deals with the thermal simulation of Li-ion Battery pack using computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis in ANSYS Fluent software.
