Original Abstract

This paper deals with an decentralized industrial control using Asset Administration Shell (AAS). It introduces reader to the concepts of Industry 4.0 and explains the structure and methods of AAS development using available software tools.This paper also illustrate decentralized control in practice with the use of a demonstration testbed. The testbed consists of an online eshop and a group of 3D printing units whose AAS are implemented in the programming language Python.
