Original Abstract

The paper deals with the analysis of a wide-band low-noise preamplifier of a wireless optical communication link. It presents an equivalent circuit that describes the noise and frequency performance of an avalanche photodiode connected to an amplifier and formulas for the output signal and noise level computation.
