Original Abstract

Evaluation of peach ('Red Heaven') shape variability in different stages of ripening was performed. Peach shapes were described by several methods: measuring main axis dimensions with consequent calculation of variation coefficients and expression of shape index by calculating the H/Ds, H/Dc and Dc/Ds ratios.; surface description by means of 3-D scanning; and shape variation evaluation based on elliptic Fourier descriptors.
