Original Abstract

MV networks in the Czech Republic are operated as isolated or grounded through a coil. This means that finding a single-phase fault in such a network is complicated because fault currents are usually less than or comparable with operating currents. The paper deals with the description of measuring earth faults in a MV ringed network and the possible way of fault location using remote control signal.
