Tato norma definuje technické, metrologické a provozní požadavky na měřidla a měřicí systémy pro stanovení proteklého objemu vody, které jsou trvale instalované v profilech s volnou hladinou u pro-vozovatele, pro používání v závazkových vztazích nebo pro měření v rámci resortu ochrany životního prostředí podle příslušných předpisů. Tato norma navazuje na právní předpisy v oblasti vypouštění odpadních vod do vod povrchových. Norma definuje způsoby měření průtoku a proteklého objemu v hydraulických podmínkách stokových sítí a kanálů. Jsou popsány stabilně a trvale instalované systémy měření v profilech s prouděním o volné hladině, které jsou vhodné k použití. Norma definuje jednotlivé prvky měřicího systému včetně metrologických a technických požadavků na ně tak, aby byla zajištěna spolehlivá metrologická návaz-nost a kontrolovatelnost celého měřicího systému v souladu s platnou legislativou. Norma stanoví po-žadavky na postupy posouzení funkční způsobilosti měřicího systému.

The standard describes a stable and permanent measurement systems in the profile with a free surface flow, which are suitable for use. The standard defines the elements of the measuring system, including the metrological and technical requirements on them to ensure reliable follow-up metrological properties and controllability of the whole measuring system in accordance with current legislation. Standard specifies the requirements, procedures for assessing the performance measurement system.
