Do epoxy resins creep in external strengthening connections?

Original Abstract
Sometimes some of the methods of external strengthenin of concrete structures must be used. One of them is a method, which uses elements of very high tensional strength glued by epoxy resins to tensioned surfaces of concrete. For several years the experiments have been in progress to raise the load-carrying capacity of concrete by supplementary external reinforcement. However, epoxy resins used aare commonly of low Young´s modulus and therefore a higher rate of creep might influence long-term behaviour of such external strengthening. Special space saving arrangement of tests is described. Panels acting like loaded beams were considered. Loads of different magnitude were applied to the panel layers to study the long-term influence of shear forces on glue creep. The glue creep might be dependent on type of epoxy resin.
