Original Abstract
The paper deals with the numerical solution of the advection diffusion equation describing the pollutanttransport in the atmosphere. The idea is to use the not so common ELLAM framework and to compare theresults with the state of the art Walcek method, which is used to solve the advection problems. The realwind model was chosen for the tests in order to get the good performance idea of the two methods. From theperformed experiments and the calculation times, one can conclude that ELLAM is suitable to solve thepresented problem.
