Emulátor pracuje na principu mutátoru, který transformuje nelineární rezistor na memristor. Ampérvoltová charakteristika rezistoru je převedena na konstituční relaci náboj-tok memristoru podobnostní transformací. Emulátor je vyroben na bázi transimpedančních operačních zesilovačů jako autonomní plovoucí dvojpól s interním bateriovým napájením.

Emulator works on the principle of mutator which transforms nonlinear resistor into memristor. Current-voltage characteristic of the resistor is transformed into the charge-flux constitutive relation of the memristor via similarity transformation. The emulator is fabricated on the basis of transimpedance operational amplifiers as autonomous floating two-terminal device with internal batteries.
