Original Abstract

A method for construction of solutions of linear discrete systems with constant coefficients and with single delay is developed. Solutions are expressed with the aid of a special function called the discrete matrix delayed exponential. Derived formulas are applied to the construction of solutions of linear discrete systems with constant coefficients, with pure delay and with impulses. Moreover, we give a controllability method for linear discrete systems with constant coefficients and with single delay. Except for a criterion of relative controllability a control function is constructed as well. For continuous case an initial-boundary problem for second-order partial differential equation with delay is solved.
