Original Abstract

Well educated employees bring higher added value to its employers, for example in form of new orders. It can be assumed that firms get a jump on competitors. However, in times of economic crisis it can be assumed restrictions on investments in the development of employees in order to cut off expenditure in all areas of business. The main objective of this paper is to clear up the attitude of Czech companies to the knowledge and skills of their employees in the times of economic crisis. To attain the stated goal, research based on the collection of secondary and primary data was carried out. Source of primary date was quantitative research in form of a questionnaire. Based on findings recommendations for enterprises are given.
