Original Abstract

This device was designed as a fluorescence detector for the detection of toxic substances due to (bio)chemical reaction that changes fluorescence emission after light excitation. Fluorescence substance is applied to the end of an optical fiber which is connected to the device. Optical methods are generally used for their noise tolerance and the ability to transfer signals over long distances with only minimal loss of signal. It predestinates the device to be used for measurements in deep wells with drinking water.
