Plátkový element-generátor zdrojového hlasu slouží k experimentálnímu ověření funkce zdrojových hlasů tohoto typu. Je možné měnit základní frekvenci generovaného signálu (změnou délky a materiálu použitého plátku). Na vyrobeném vzorku jsou možná akustická i optická měření (vysokorychlostní kamera, PIV). Vzorek lze připojit ke kavitám nahrazujícím vokální trakt.

Experiment with these reed based element simulates conditions when reed-based element is used as voice-prosthesis. We must have information about behavior of element before we do some in vivo test of the voice-prosthesis. If there is demand for use this element as voice-prosthesis, we must set-up values of variables similar to their physiological ranges.
