Zařízení slouží k experimentálnímu studiu tenkých mazacích filmů. Mazaný kontakt je simulován ve styku rotujícího skleněného disku a otáčejícího se ocelového soudečku. Kontakt je zatěžován pomocí závaží přes skleněný disk. Oblast kontaktu je s využitím průmyslového mikroskopu a světelného zdroje snímána vysokorychlostní kamerou. Zařízení umožňuje natáčení osy soudečku kolem osy kontaktu a tím změnu orientace vektoru obvodové rychlosti soudečku vůči vektoru obvodové rychlosti disku. Zařízení je vybaveno rozvodem temperačního média.

The equipment used for the experimental study of thin lubricating films, simulated at the contact between a rotating glass disk and a steel barrel. Contact is loaded with weights over a glass disk. The area of contact is recorded by high-speed camera using an industrial microscope and a light source. The equipment allows us to change the barrel axis orientation around the axis of the contact, thus a different orientation of barel and disk velocity vectors can be set.
