Software zahrnuje metody a algoritmy pro určování topografických parametrů povrchů pomocí metody střihové interferometrie pro vyhodnocení základních statistických hodnot náhodně plochého nebo zakřiveného povrchu pevného materiálu. Tato metoda může být použita pro určení náhodně drsných povrchů jak transparentních tak netransparentních. Výsledky ze statistické analýzy získané touto metodou byly použity při návrhu aplikace vyvinuté Fakultě strojního inženýrství v Brně, jako srovnání s klasickým způsobem měření drsnosti.

The software includes methods and algorithms of image processing in the field of determination of topographic surface parameters by means of shearing interferometry method for evaluating the basic statistical quantities of randomly flat and randomly curved surfaces of solids. This method can be utilized for characterizing the randomly rough surfaces of both transparent and opaque solids. The result of the statistical analysis obtained by this method were used in an application that was developed at Brno University of Technology to serve as comparison with stylus-type instruments.
