Únavové posouzení je založeno na dvou koncepcích: 1) Koncepci lokálních elastických vrubových napětí - Využíváme koncepci lokálních elastických napětí v modifikaci podle doporučení IIW a dle práce Pedersena. 2) Koncepci elastoplastických vrubových napětí a deformací - Posouzení se uskutečňuje na základě znalosti elastoplastických napětí a deformací v místě přechodu povrchu svarové housenky do základního materiálu. K inženýrské přibližné metodě je k tomu třeba Neuberova koncepce a cyklická deformační křivka. Počtu cyklů je stanoven dle Morrowa, Landgrafa a Smith Watsona Toppera.

Fatigue assessment is based on two concepts: 1) Local elastic stress concept with consideration of notch - Conception of local elastic notched stress is defined by IIW recommendation and by Pedersen work. 2) Conception of elasto plastic notched stress and strain - Assessment is realized on elasto plastic stresses and strains in the point between the layer of weld and the base material. The Neuber conception and the cyclic strain curve is needed for approximate engineering method. Number of cycles is defined by Morrow, Landgraf and Smith and by Watson Topper methodology.
