Jedná se o solární komín pro větrání a pasivní chlazení s akumulací tepla do materiálu se změnou skupenství (Phase Change Material - PCM). Akumulace tepla umožňuje činnost solárního komínu i po západu slunce. Materiály se změnou skupenství umožňují akumulovat značné velké množství tepla při téměř konstantní teplotě a tak omezují tepelnou ztrátu při akumulaci tepla.

The solar chimney can operate after sunset when heat storage is used. Phase Change Materials can store huge amount of heat at almost constant temperature and thus reduce the thermal loss.
