Skanovací senzorická věž je určena pro měření vzdáleností předmětů od středu věže v rozsahu úhlů 180 stupňů s krokem až 5 stupňů. Věž tvoří trojice ultrazvukových a infračervených snímačů vzdálenosti, natáčecí mechanis a řídicí mikrořadiče, který zajišťuje sběr dat a řídí proces skanování. Výstupem měření věže je mapa naměřených vzdáleností v polárním souřadném systému s počátkem v místě natáčení věže.

Scanning sensor tower is intended for distance measurement between things and tower centre. Measurement is taken in scanning range 180 degrees with step up to 5 degree. The tower is equipped with three ultrasound and infra sensors of distance, turning mechanism, which allow measuring a distance in various directions, according to requests and microcontroller, which manage functions of the tower. The output of the measurement of the tower is a map of measured distances in polar system of coordinates with the origin in the point of rotation of the tower.
