Original Abstract

This contribution presents a method for the contrast enhancement of ultrasound images in the radiofrequency (RF) domain. Our method is based on the wavelet transform (WT) and an adaptive thresholding operator. The resulting images show better contrast and therefore are more suitable for edge detection.
