Original Abstract

Presented paper deals with unconventional lifting systems of an aeroplane. These configurations are constantly one of the main parts of the aerodynamic research in an effort to increase performances of today's aeroplanes. Main goal of the work is to present optimization possibilities for these configurations at a certain flight regime for a chosen aircraft category. Determination of aerodynamic characteristics of arbitrary configurations is done via panel method approach and completed with friction drag estimation. Optimization methods were covered by a genetic algorithm and an evolution strategy. Results show that total drag estimation can be lowered, but further development is needed.
