Original Abstract

This contribution presents a novel method for contrast enhancement of an ultrasound images in a radiofrequency (RF) domain. The algorithm is based on a wavelet transform and a thresholding operator. The resulted images show better contrast and therefore are more suitable for consecutive segmentation.
