Original Abstract

Numarical simulations of Taylor test have beeh performed using the Johnson Cook constitutive equation. The variation of main equation parameters has been studied in details oh various steels. The comparison of the computed specimen profiles with experimental ones and hardness variations with computed plastic deformation suggests that there may be at least two different mechanisms of the plastic deformation.
