Original Abstract

The field of machine tools is at the present under intensive development of new modern technologies, which entails the requirements of high quality of new components. In 2000 this trend was reflected in ISO norms series 9000 that require strict orientation on customers´ needs and process approach during all activities, including design. This contribution presents the process and system approach to design of machining centres according to ISO 9000:2000
