This article deals with the preprocessing of the ultrasound radiofrequency (RF) signals. A new method based on the discrete-time wavelet transform (DWT) and incoherent processing (IP) has been developed for the speckle reduction and contrast enhancement of the ultrasound images (B-mode images).
