Original Abstract

The goal of the contributions is the application of multivariate classification techniques to assessment of competitive advantage of chosen countries of the European Union. Used data set was obtained from the Knowledge Assesment Matrix published by the World Bank. There are variables: annual GDP growth, human development index, tariff barriers, regulatory quallity, rule of law, royalty payments and receipts, technical journal articles, patents granted by USPTO, adult literacy rate, gross secondary enrollment, gross tertiary enrollment, total telephones, computers and internet users.

English abstract
