Original Abstract

Construction works and supply of structure elements and material for moderniyation of the Cyech railway corridors show the highest quality. Despite of this fact the defects and failures occur, which decrease quality of civil structures. The unsymmetrical settlement and deflection of long bearers is one of such defect. The aim of many research works was to find the mechanism of the bearer position defect. The basic reason for the settlement is overloading of ballast bed. Such overloading causes the gaps under ends of sleepers and bearers. The elastic elements are included to permanent way wit goal to reduce stresses in ballast bed. The under sleeper pads are tested at European railways companies. The mechanism of ballast protection is explained in the paper due static analysis.
