Original Abstract

Measurement uncertainties play an important part in all cases where proving of conformity is required. This is a common situation in acoustic measurements. Many measurements done for the purposes of hygiene and noise levels are typical examples of a situation when conformity needs to be proved (or disproved). The article deals with the applications of measurement uncertainties and the convenience of their use in such cases.
