Original Abstract

Xenobiotika jsou látky organického nebo anorganického původu, které jsou odolné vůči odbourávání. Na trhu EU je 100000 xenobiotik. Přibližně 30000 z celkového počtu xenobiotik, jsou tzv. každodenní chemikálie a jejich celková spotřeba v celé EU je v množství přesahující 1 tunu za rok. Bylo odhadnuto, že 70000 xenobiotik je potencionálně nebezpečných pro člověka nebo ekosystém.

English abstract

There are more than 100,000 xenobiotics on the market in the European Union. Approximately 30,000 of these are everyday chemicals i.e. estimated to be used in volumes over 1 ton each year. It has been estimated that 70,000 xenobiotics may potentially be hazardous for humans or ecosystems. The aim of this paper is presentation of the COST project action 636 and introduction to the problem of xenobiotics in the urban waters.
