Original Abstract

This work presents an attempt to demonstrate the ability of investment casting technology to be one of the most progressive technologies of manufacturing "net-shape" castings for the third millennium. The main focus in the paper is given to the latest trends in materials and equipment used in all individual phases of the process, i.e. in manufacturing of wax patterns and ceramic shells, de-waxing process, shell heat treatment, metal pouring process and finishing operations.

English abstract
