Original Abstract
This paper presents our work on parallel grammars for Czech and Russian. As both languages belong to the Slavic language group it has been possibleto employ the same syntactic analyzer based on the notion of metagrammar. Ourmetagrammar, first developed for Czech, has been generalized with the aim ofcovering the same language phenomena in Czech and Russian by a unified set ofmetagrammar constructs. Preliminary parsing results based on the developedmetagrammar are given at the end of this article.
